Mark is a Boerne Blaze Special Olympics athlete. He competed in the 25 meter freestyle swim and 4 x 25 meters swim. Mark is passionate about sharing the Gospel with others through Operation Christmas Child and Mission Aviation Fellowship. He is also passionate about working with those with special needs, especially children.

He has a degree in Communications with a specialization in Public Relations from Concordia University Texas. Mark is active in his church, where he works with the Hand in Hand program to help children with special needs, so they can understand the Gospel.

Mark, himself is a special needs adult with Cerebral Palsy and other forms of intellectual disabilities. He lives with his parents and has an older brother, who is married.
